We're all acquainted with the tiny lovely kitties, but there are some cat breeds that are much bigger in size and you will be amazed!

We all know that there are many cat breeds in the world and they all have their own gorgeous features. Some are known for their adorable faces and big round eyes. Some are more fierce, fluffier or don’t have fur any at all. This time, let’s get to know about the cat breeds in the world. We’re talking about the size! There are several cat breeds which have such massive size, bigger than the normal cat’s size we knew.

Before scrolling down, let think about all the names that could possibly come into your mind. Then keep discovering to see how many can you name correctly.

#1 Maine Coon

Maine Coons usually enjoy a kittenish love of play well into adulthood. Males, especially, are prone to silly behavior. Females are more dignified, but they aren’t above a good game of chase.
Most Maine Coons weigh 9 to 18 pounds–males are larger–and some tip the scales at 20 or more pounds. They don’t reach their full size until they are three to five years old. In fact, the record for the world’s longest house cat belongs to a Maine Coon who grew to be over four feet long.

#2 Ragdoll

Ragdolls have nice manners and are easy to live with. You will find a Ragdoll on your sofa or bed, but generally not much higher than that. He prefers to stay on the same level with his people rather than the highest point in a room.
Female Ragdoll usually weighs 10 to 15 pounds, and some males weigh more than 20 pounds.

#3 Siberian Cat

The Siberian comes in a wide variety of colours including colour point, cream, gold, silver, brown, red and blue and their eyes are green or green-gold in colour.

Siberian cats weigh between 6.8-9.1 kg for the males and 4.5-6.8 kg for females.

#4 Chausie

Chausie cats do not like to be alone for a too long time. They will develop a strong bond with their human owners and follow them everywhere. As social as they are, they will do great around other dogs and especially if they are raised together. They form strong bonds with their humans and are very loyal.

Adult Chausie males typically weigh 11 to 16 pounds. Adult females are usually 8 to 13 pounds.

#5 Ragamuffin

Don’t confuse the longhaired Ragamuffin with his cousin the Ragdoll. The two are separate breeds, although they are similar in temperament and appearance. Large and affectionate, this is a classic lap cat who loves being cuddled.

The Ragamuffin weighs between 10 and 20 pounds and is well suited to any home with people who will love him and give his gorgeous coat a weekly combing.

#6 Savannah Cat

Savannah cats are a spotted domestic cat breed started in the 1980’s. Developed to give the impression of grandeur and dignity of a wildcat with a cheetah type appearance, expressive eyes highlighted by dark tear stains, vibrant coat colors, solid contrasting black spots, huge sonar-like ears and long legs.

Savannah cats’ weight can range between 12-25 pounds.

#7 Norwegian Forest Cat

This is a kind, loving, gentle cat with a strong nurturing instinct. The Wegie stands out for his double coat of many colors and patterns, tufted paws and ears, triangular head, plumed tail and sturdy, heavily muscled body.

Adult females of the species will typically weigh 8 – 18 lbs, while males tends to weigh 10 – 20 lbs.
